FAQ
What guarantees or warranties do Curtis Construction offer on their work?
Short Answer
Detailed Answer
At Curtis Construction, we take pride in delivering high-quality building and renovation work that stands the test of time. To back that up, we offer a comprehensive workmanship guarantee on all our projects, large or small. This means we stand behind the quality of our finishes, the durability of our materials, and the standard of craftsmanship our team delivers.
As licensed builders operating in New South Wales, we are also legally bound by the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), which outlines statutory warranty periods for residential building works. These include:
6 years for major structural defects
2 years for all other non-structural defects
These warranties begin from the date of practical completion and are automatically applied to all eligible residential construction projects.
In addition to these statutory warranties, we often work with trusted suppliers and trades who provide their own product warranties. This includes cabinetry, appliances, tapware, lighting, and materials used throughout the build. Where applicable, we’ll pass these warranties on to you along with product documentation.
Our clients also benefit from:
A thorough handover process
Prompt rectification of any minor defects
Clear communication and documentation
Ongoing advice post-completion, should anything arise
Because we manage our builds closely and use highly skilled in-house trades and regular subcontractors, we’re confident in the standard of work we deliver. Your home is a major investment — and we treat it with the care, respect, and quality assurance it deserves.
We believe a good builder isn’t just about finishing the job — it’s about being there long after it’s done.
